Abbotsford Convent

Painting with the Sketch Melbourne group. I think this is the St Mary building. I only had 1 1/2 hours so I had to work fast and small!

Royal

A commissioned piece by the owner of this pooch, a Brussels Griffon called Royal. Apparently George Lucas was a big fan of these dogs and modelled the Ewok on their furry faces. The owner is also a big Wes Anderson fan, so I thought I would take my inspiration from the dining room wallpaper in the film The Royal Tenenbaums.
Measures 3x4 feet, and has since been wonderfully offset by a big gilt frame. Oil on canvas.

I made this painting from a low-res photo of my son at the playground. I was using one of those camera apps so I decided to imitate the polaroid style it produced. Oil on canvas.

This church house was painted from a photo and a sketch I made in country NSW. I can't even remember where I was! Painted in 2010.

This was painted near our house in Heidelberg, 2010

Early morning farm scene near Mollymook, NSW.

Pool series

I made these 3 paintings around the time I was swimming a lot at the local pool. I eventually found that swimming was the most boring sport ever, so I stopped.
